The Burlap and Lace style is all about texture over texture. The lace peeps in from the edges and brings a curvy, graceful look over a burlap texture which is all across the surface. The lace is white, and is reminiscent of the classic lace patterns that were made in olden times of fine white linen thread; it is floral in nature, with a texture of its own created by using thick and thin threads; a satin stitch creates large fields of white, and hairline threads of white add a graceful tracery to the main pattern of leaves and scrolls. The background color is of natural, undyed burlap. The main font is a fun and fanciful calligraphic style which is rendered in black ink so it is the dominant image on the item. The supporting text is a serif font with large and small capital letters, no lower case letters.
